Tropical Paradise Faerie Gathering

A Call to Gather in Thailand

January 28 - February 7, 2010

Gay people from around the world will converge on the magical island of Koh Yao Yai near Phuket, Thailand. Last year's gathering found 35 faeries coming to our island paradise from the US, Middle East, Europe and all over Asia. Those who attended from 2004 to 2009 spread the word throughout Asia and the world. So please plan ahead and register early so you are sure to join us.

Some of us will gather in Bangkok before and after the gathering, so let us know when you plan to arrive in Thailand. The gathering itself will be 10 days long, covering two weekends and the week in between. Please plan to be with us for the entire length of the gathering if you can.

The gathering site will be the same as in previous years, the remote and undeveloped island of Koh Yao Yai, at the beach front resorts hosted by Khun Ae. This is a non-profit event organized by a diverse group of guys living in Thailand, Estonia and the US. The idea is for gay people from all over the world to meet in a quiet and beautiful natural setting and get to know each other and ourselves better. We will have morning group talks, nature walks, swimming, snorkeling and hopefully a cross-cultural romance or two. We improvise our activities as we go along through the week, but please also plan on a talent show, fund-raising auction, and making lots of new friends.

We have been meeting like this in the USA for 30 years, in Europe for 13 years and this will be our seventh meeting in Thailand. We are always eager to welcome our Asian brothers, so please spread the word.

We have sliding scale fees that will allow each person to pay what they can afford. We may be able to offer some travel scholarships for those wanting to attend from developing countries in South and Southeast Asia: Vietnam, Myanmar, Laos, Cambodia, etc. If you don't have money but really want to attend, please be write to us and we will try to help you come to the gathering.
